Grace's lost to Touring Theatres for the first time thanks to the super batting of the Theatres batsman Nauman who scored 151 (but was dropped five times). Ali turned up trumps taking the most important wicket with a breathless catch by Curtis, only to find another batsmen of great ability, Christie, who hit 60 from 32 balls.
Highlights from Grace's reply must be Camberwell's first and only six for the club so far. With guest batsman Blomer taking 20 overs to patiently reach 23, it was left to the agression of Ali (22), Bielby (44) and Curtis (18 not out) to take Grace's to a respectable 176-8 from 35 overs at five an over. Not a bad scoring rate. Another loss for Grace's, but another wonderful tea, great banter and good friendly cricket on both sides ensured the day was successful and that everyone had an enjoyable game.
