Bielby won the toss and elected to bat, with Camberwell (29) smacking consistent bad balls to the boundary to bring up a rapid 47 opening partnership before losing his off stump to a swinging delivery.
Enter Page, who had made 67 on his debut against West One last year. This time round he hit a sensational century, batting brilliantly in exhaustingly hot conditions, hitting 3 sixes and 7 fours and thoroughly deserving his first ever Grace's ton. Page was supported by Rishafi (51) and Henderson (23), which allowed Grace's to post 291, their highest score of the season, on a flat batting wicket.
In reply, West One were stifled by some accurate sharp bowling from Shofiq and Fawaz, with Fawaz taking 2 wickets, one with a yorker and the other thanks to a stunning one handed catch in the covers by Page which was simply unbelievable and deserved a TV replay. As news filtered through that England had beaten Australia, Newton-Sawyerr chipped in with his first ever 6-wicket haul on a turning flat wicket, including another sensational catch, an extremely low caught and bowled. With Newton-Sawyerr cleaning up like a vacuum cleaner, and Rishafi taking the last 2 wickets, Grace's won by 139 runs to complete another magnificient win. Special recognition must also go to Bishry who stood in at extremely short notice and bowled exceptionally well without much luck - and got a bang on the nose for his troubles. The question must be asked... Is there no end to Grace's talents?
