Our second game of the season was against Wenlock Arms, the team we practiced with at the nets in Hackney during the winter. The game was played at the Metropolitan Police Sports Ground in Chigwell, and fortunately the weather stayed mostly dry to allow us to complete our second game of the season with another win.
Congratulations must go to both sides for competing in such a friendly and close match. It ebbed and flowed throughout a competitive game, with Curtis taking his 100th wicket and Shofig taking his 150th wicket for the club, Fawaz and Rishafi both taking 3 wickets apiece, amidst a few dropped catches which allowed Wenlock Arms to recover to score 153 all out. In reply, Shofiq opened the batting once more, defending against some excellent opening brisk bowling, reaching 40 in a 89 opening partnership with Stockinger smashing 49 splendid runs. Page 34 not out and Rishafi 19 not out safely guided Grace's home in the 37th over. Well done to all once more.
